The building carried traces of both its original architecture and the heavy-handed 1990s renovation. Suspended ceilings, layered finishes, and office partitions had gradually erased its character. We chose to restore the interior's authenticity by exposing its essential elements — the structure, concrete surfaces, and original room proportions. The raw foundation is paired with carefully selected materials, generous wooden surfaces, and minimalist details. The result is not a conventional developer's showroom, but a space that feels relaxed, current, and free of standard office aesthetics.
The main reception area functions as a setting for client meetings and presentations of the Vanguard project. At its centre stands a large solid-wood table combined with concrete and steel. Exposed structure and raw surfaces are balanced by warmer notes — timber, textiles, and softer lighting — giving the room the feel of a private club or lounge rather than a developer's office. It is this contrast between raw architecture and precisely designed details that defines the atmosphere, echoing the character of the Vanguard project itself.
The same approach extends to the back-of-house. The kitchenette and restrooms are built around raw materials, exposed structure, and a deliberate simplicity. Rather than standard office facilities, these are treated as a full part of the interior. Concrete, dark surfaces, steel details, and pared-back furnishings hold the concept together even in the areas usually overlooked. The PSN Vanguard Lounge reads as a single, coherent whole — with no visible line between its representative and operational zones.
