Villa
Renovation with an Architect in Prague

We preserve the value of the original architecture. And adapt it to contemporary living—without compromise. Villa renovation is not just a construction process. It is a decision about how the house will function for decades to come.

Renovating a historic villa means working with value

We don’t start from scratch. We begin by identifying what is worth preserving. Original floors, doors, staircases. Sometimes even elements that are no longer there—mosaics, wood paneling, stained glass, decorative ceilings. This is not about recreating the past. It is about making sure the house keeps its value.

How villa renovation works with an architect

Every project starts with evaluating the house — technically and conceptually. We look at what makes sense to keep and where transformation has potential. We design the architecture, redefine the layout, and develop the interior as part of one system. The entire construction process is coordinated from start to finish. From the first concept to the final detail.

Adapting the layout of a villa for contemporary living

Original villa layouts reflect a different way of life. Separated kitchens, service rooms, inefficient circulation. These layers are rethought. We open up spaces, connect rooms, and create a structure that works today — without compromising the character of the house.

Why villa renovation is not simple — and why it matters

Villa renovation is a demanding process. At a certain point, it may seem easier to demolish and build new. And it would be. But something essential would be lost — the character of the house. A new build can be technically perfect. But it will never replace the value that has developed over time. Renovation is not about perfection. It is about preserving and evolving what already exists.

What is typically considered before renovating a villa

The cost depends primarily on the condition of the original structure and the scope of intervention. In most cases, villa renovations are in the range of tens of millions CZK. However, each project differs significantly.

We begin by evaluating whether the house makes sense to preserve — both technically and financially. We design architecture, layout, and interior together and coordinate the entire process through completion.

Each house carries a different kind of value. We preserve structural elements, materials, and details that define it. In many cases, we also restore elements that have been lost over time.

Original layouts rarely match contemporary living standards. Adjustments are a natural part of the process, always done with respect to the character of the house.

Architecture and interior are not treated separately. They are designed together to ensure the result works as a complete whole.
