The apartment underwent a radical open-concept redesign – minimal hallways, maximum space and a kitchen right at the heart of the action. The minimalist concept is built around a black core, copper accents, and stark plaster finishes that highlight the simplicity of the entire interior.
The original layout was reworked through client changes to eliminate fragmentation. The core idea of the apartment interior design was to remove excessive circulation space andconcentrate daily life into one generous living area. A compact service core was placed in thecenter of the layout, with the kitchen directly attached to it. This brought the kitchen into a natural center of the apartment, allowing the living space to function more freely and intuitively, without the feeling of simply moving through corridors.
The entire apartment interior follows a minimalist approach, but not a cold one. The goal wasa calm, precise space without visual noise. The original intention to expose structural concrete walls was not possible, so we searched for an alternative way to achieve a similar expression. Surfaces were unified using plaster finishes, allowing large calm planes, light, and proportions to stand out. Here, minimalism is not a style statement but a way to create order and long-term timelessness.
The strongest visual element is the central core and adjoining kitchen, defined by a black Betonepox finish. This dark surface anchors the entire apartment interior and createsa clearfocal point. It contrasts with the white kitchen island and light worktop, while copper detailsintroduce precision and a subtle tension. The copper bar structure passes through the countertop, and the same detail is repeated in the dining table. These elements elevate the minimalist interior beyond a purely clean solution.
While the main living area is open, the private zones are designed to provide calm andseparation. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, increasing both comfort and privacy. Themaster bedroom is visually connected to it's bathroom through smoked glass, keeping the space open without feeling exposed. The children’s and guest areas have their own character, while the master bathroom follows a neutral grey tone consistent with the rest of the apartment. The goal is simplicity that works in everyday life.
